Vintage Weekend

This weekend Erik and I got out to some awesome antique stores and got a few decorative items for the baby's room. We are decorating his nursery with inexpensive vintage items, and also with and ABC, 123, and nursery rhyme theme! I am SO excited! We found a cute little vintage felt mouse which reminds me of the "3 blind mice" a "sock bunny"...so unique and how many people have sock bunnys rather than sock monkey, ($8 each) and a circa 1954 cloth ABC, 123 book ($2.95) which i plan on framing and using as wall art. I can change the pictures to other pages in the book when I want! (That was Eriks idea!) I also finally got frames for the old print outs that I have of my grandparents and grandma from Target that match the old pictures almost perfectly! OH, we also found a beautiful vintage cradle that we may go pick up today...hard wood, solid construction for ony $50! I have to figure out what you put in the bottom of these things though for baby to sleep on and if it is safe? It is too adorable. If we get it I will post a pic later. Also pictured is the blanket I have started hand quilting for our little one! I made these for both Erik's sister Steph and my Sister Val for their babies and had to make one for ours too! It is a hobby I enjoy while I am watching TV or bored. Also I have posted a pic of some fabric which I plan to make wall hangins of for babys room! We are having a fun vintage kind of weekend!
