22 Week Apt

Today I got see Quinn again at our ecocardiogram for him. His heart is doing great! No mitral valve prolapse like his Grandma! Erik was not able to come this time, but I got pictures! The doctors say he is doing great. Heart Beat was 150 per min and he weighs 1 pound now and is right on schedule. They say my due date is still December 30th...though secretly I am hoping he comes before Christmas so that my Mom and Dad will be forced to be here and spend Christmas with us ;) I have not got to celebrate Christmas with my family for the last 4-5 years. Sad. Also, check out his long fingers! Maybe he will play piano like his late Great Grandma Zawacki :)

Anyway, I am up a total of 18 lbs and gained 5 more this month. I seriously don't know why since I am not pigging out. Hopefully the weight gain will slow up a bit for the next couple months. The doctors said I am doing fine though and still say I can gain b/w 25-35 lbs total. In weeks I think I am either 6 months along or almost 6 months, but I am not sure. All the different stats are so confusing! I think Sept is my 6 month mark since I am due in Dec.

Things are getting exciting and I am feeling Quinn move more and more often. I have even seen him move in my belly several times. We still still haven't picked a middle name....any suggestions?

The doctor said I should start the birthing classes around 30 weeks but I needed to sign up now because the classes get full fast. The doctors at the ultrasound said that usually they do a 30 week growth ultrasound, and that if my doctor wanted them to do it to just call and set up an apt for around 30-32 weeks....in about 8-10 weeks. I told my doc that but he didn't say anything. Also, I go back to him in a month and they are going to do the first glucose reading where you have to drink that awful stuff. Then after that apt I have to start going every 2 weeks. Wow! Time sure is flying. I just cant wait til I get to a point where he should be find if he is born early.

Well, I guess I have gone on enough. Erik is just about done digging a trench around his office building we put in while Dad was here. The electric should be installed around Sept 2, and then we will be able to start planning the nursery and setting up all the baby stuff we have got or will soon get. Look for shower details later, but Mom and Val are planning a shower for me sometime in October before he holiday season starts. (Thanks Mom and Val!!)
