Reflection

Hi Quinn!

I know it has been a loooong time since I have written you a letter. Please forgive your busy mama!  I have been working, going back to school and trying to give you and your daddy enough playtime and care. Unfortunatly, your letters suffered, but starting today I am on top of it again!

It is my hope that one day you will be able to read back on these letters from your Mama and get a glimps into your childhood. Being the nostalgic person that I am, I have many a day wished that there was something for me to read from your Grandma about my life before I have memory, or just from her perspective. I have often immagined how wonderful and insightful it would be to read back on events and relive them from another point of view...to see events from the other side. To visit upon those times again where I was learning about life, either in good times or bad, and see Grandmas reaction to it all. I hope these letters can be that for you. That is the history lover in your Mama speaking. I hope you will enjoy reading your letters as much as I enjoy writing them.

Today you woke up in a good mood and happily watched Curious George and ate your breakfast while I got ready for work. Right now George is your favorite, and I am glad. It is a show that in intelligent, and also not annoying for a parent to watch!  After getting ready and giving daddy his daily goodbye kiss, I loaded you off in the car for the short 5 min drive to daycare. On the way I keep you entertained by talking about what a good day you are going to have at school, and practicing your ABCs. It is so cute how you will proudly parrot the alphabet as I say each one in turn and then offer an object for which each stands for. Mama: "A" , can you say "A" Quinn? Quinn: "A!" Mama: "Yea! Good Job!  A is for Apple" and so on.  It is our daily game on the way to school.

As soon as we pull in you are already demanding your daily banana. "Nana? Nana! Nana!" And poor is this mama's soul if we have run out. That is a recipe for a start to a bad day! Luckily today we had a banana, so I gave it to you to carry in as usual. Thankfully Melissa was there today. She is one of your favorite teachers. Lately you have been going through a clingly phase and not wanting me to leave, throwing a full out fit with kicking and screaming when I go to leave. For the good of both of us I have to just leave you there in full tilt, but it does break my heart so!  When Melissa is there it is better. You went right to her today, gave me a kiss and settled right in. Only a few more hours now until my favorite time of the day...time to pick you up!

I hope you are having a good day today at school my sweet cheeks!  See you soon!

Love,
~Mama~
