First Long Car Ride

Hey Quinny!

Mama here again to give you an update on what you have been doing lately. This past weekend we went to visit Uncle Kavin in New Mexico as a test run for our upcoming Florida Trip to see Grandma and Grandpa Catalfu. You did surprisingly well. On a scale of 1-10 with 1 being the best and 10 being the worst, I would say you were about a 4 or 5 on the way down and a 6 on the way back. I honestly expected you to cry much more than you did. Thankfully mommy packed the leap frog singing ABC game to keep you entertained in your carseat. You LOVE that game. It sings all kinds of songs about the alphabet letters. After 6 hours there and 6 hours back, Mommy and Daddy now have those songs ingrained into our brains and we can't stop singing them!

Daddy's bike finally came so we are planning on taking you on a bike ride in your bike cart to Will Rogers Park this weekend. That should be fun. We did a family bike ride around the neighborhood on Monday and you enjoyed it. I have been taking you out myself before daddy's bike came and we found a really nice park in the ritzy area that we can bike to. I even got to put you in a swing and swing you for the first time. You had so much fun and were giggling and laughing the whole time. I did not have my camera with me so I missed a good photo op!

You have started standing on your own, but you can't stand without holding onto something yet. I am not worried. You get along fine crawling and I figure you will walk when you are ready. Besides, that just means more trouble for mama once you do start walking!

We are getting closer and closer to your first Birthday. It is bittersweet for me. On one hand I am sad to see how fast you are growing, but on the other hand I am excited to watch you grow and learn. I try to cherish every moment I can spend with you. You have started to give hugs and it melts my heart. You also can wave and clap on command now, and fake cough, which is really funny!

Love Always,
Mama
