Hey Mr. Monkey,
Mama here again to tell you what you have been up to over the last week. You have really been on a "roll" literally! This week you have successfully mastered rolling over and flip from back to belly within minutes of placing you there. You also have continued to practice your voice this week. Your little squeals and screams crack me an daddy up!
You are sleeping now as we speak, a full 45 minutes earlier than usual. This is a new development for you this week. I think your bedtime is going to end up being around 730 soon with any luck. You keep getting extra cranky and tired around 630-700, so I am hoping to move your bedtime back an hour. If that happens Mommy may actually get to start working out again and lose the rest of the baby weight from you...but you were definitely worth a few extra pounds.
You make me smile every day and I love giving you lots of hugs and kisses every chance I get. I love seeing your little smile whenever I walk into the room. Lately daddy has felt a little left out. You only are OK with him if I am in the room too. The moment I leave you start to fuss.
We have gotten to go swimming together a lot over the past week. It has been in the 90s here in Oklahoma and Summer is just getting started. You LOVE the water. I am hoping to get you swim lessons early on in life so you won't be afraid of the water like I am. I still can't swim and I am 30 years old! I can doggy paddle though. Speaking of dogs, Ellie and Bailey love to give you kisses when you are on the ground practicing your rolling skills. Both of them are very protective of you and Bailey even growls at me when I blow raspberries on your belly.
We had a lot of fun at the Arts Festival this past weekend. Daddy, you and I went with Debbie, and her boys Chance and Dane (Tabor) and everyone kept commenting on how cute you were in your baby banz and nothing else but a little pale blue fuzzi bunz cloth diaper. It was HOT! Daddy bought mommy an awesome silver and green amber bracelet and it was made by an older polish couple. They were so nice and even gave us a nice discount since mommy's heritage is part Polish. Your Great Grandpa was Polish...and he is also who your middle name is after (William). We also had the BEST cream soda I have ever tasted from Chuck Wagon Soda. I let you suck on the ice cubes because of the heat and you LOVED it. I ended up having to nurse you in Debbie's vehicle since we stayed out past your bedtime. After you got your fill you were much happier and we went and listened to some live music before calling it a day. By that time the thunder was rolling in and a storm was on its way.
Today we did a lot of yard work outside...well, you played in your exersaucer while daddy and I put down some new mulch beds in the front yard. Daddy did most of the work though so I could attend to you. You have been napping much better lately an are starting to go to sleep better on your own. With a little luck, maybe you will start to sleep through the night soon. Mommy can dream, can't she?!?! I am not sure what we will do tomorrow. Today we also wen't grocery shopping and you projectile puked all over the place! Luckily you were in the sleepy wrap facing outward and it only got in my sandal and on the floor! We had a busy day today.
I bought you some spoons to start practicing with since I plan to start introducing some solid foods to you at the end of this month. I also bought you a frog potty. We are planning on starting potty training early by using the "Diaper Free Before 3" method. If mommy was trained by a little over a year old, you can be too! At least I hope so!
I love you VERY much. You are my world and I don't know what I would do without you!
Love Forever and Ever,
Mama
