Colorado

Hello Everyone!

I am very much enjoying Colorado!  It is beautiful here, the weather is great with almost no humidity...something I have never lived with out (from PA to Turkey and now Oklahoma City) I have always lived with awful humidity!  It is a nice change.  I can see why people move here. In fact, if after a while Erik can get a transfer up here, we will probably take it, though that will probably not be for another 5 years or so since we just bought the house. I would only regret having to leave such great neighbors as Ray and Jess!  They have become my surrogate family since moving here and no one could ask for better neighbors than those two gents!  They are watching our fur babies, Bailey and Ellie now for us, and if only one thing could make this trip better it would be if I could have brought my pups along! I miss them terribly!  Another good point of Colorado is that they are incredibly pet friendly! It is amazing!  We went into Manatou Springs and Pikes Peak Saturday and I swear, everyone had a dog and the dogs were allowed in the shops and everything! It was just great! I totally loved it.  I am going to post some pics from our trip. One is me on Pikes Peak (I was so glad I didn't get altitude sickness!) one is me in front of some Anasazi Cliff dwellings, and the other is of the beautiful mountain just in view from our first hotel! The first day we were here Erik had to work, but lucky for me just down the road were some horses and I went and paid them a visit. They were friendly and let me pet them...well, at least the brown one did!  We leave Wed early morning, and I am not looking forward to going back to Hot and Humid OKC, (Temps have been in the 100s) but I am looking forward to seeing my dogs and my Dad when he gets here for his visit on Thursday for 12 days!
