38 Week Apt-We are at 2cm!

So, I am 2 cm dilated and doc said that he wants to see me again on Friday. I guess I am not effacing well because Quinn is not far enough down yet, but getting there. Here is the sucky thing...remember I want a natural birth...well, doc is going to be out of town the week of the 28th...Quinns DD is the 30th. Doc wants to talk induction for early next week if my cervix if favorable on Friday even though he knows I don't want to be induced because I am under the impression that it will be harder to have a natural birth with an induction. He wants to be the one to deliver so, I feel like I am being forced into an induction. So, I am hoping for the best and praying that Quinn will make his appearance on his own sometime this week so I don't have to have an induction. I know it is still possible to have a natural birth with an induction, but the success rate is a lot lower I think. In any case...I could have a baby in one week! So Crazy! I am going to try to stick to my guns Friday and say NO to an induction. I want this birth experience to be the way I want it since this is our only baby and I will only have one shot at it! I am hoping maybe he will make an appearance on his own this weekend. We also think it would be cool to have a "Winter Solstice" baby!
