Our Little Man, 31 weeks!

First off, above is the most recent "photo" of Quinn for your entertainment.

I have been severly lacking in the blogging dept lately! So, here is an update. We have been getting Quinns room ready and found an awesome dresser on Craigslist:

Mom and Dad also got us a great glider for Quinn for my Baby shower that my mom and sister Val had for me last Saturday. It was very nice of them to do a long distance shower since there was no way for me to get to them. Here is the glider:

Then, our great neighbors Ray and Jess brought us gifts over on my shower day so I would have something to open...they are so sweet. Ray hand made these blankets and booties. I think they are adorable and very vintage. I love it!
And finally, here is a pic of my 31 week belly, well ok, 30w5d but close enough:
The docs say everything is looking great. Quinn is measuring ahead by a week and is already 3lb15 oz give or take 10% The doctor said we are looking at probably a 7lb and some oz baby. That is ok with me...I just didn't want to have to push out a 9lb baby like Erik was! I was only 6lb7oz baby, so I was hoping he would be closer to my birth size. I am on my 2 week apts now and the Doctor said that he will see me every 2 weeks til around 35/36 weeks.
I have also talked to him about how I would like a natural drug free birth if I can handle it and use a birthing ball and be allowed to be in any position that I want during the birth. Erik will be there with me and if it is a scheduled birth, mom will be if she can get there in time. Otherwise my friend Kelly will be there to assist since Erik is not good with blood, surgeries, poo, throw up, well...you get the picture! I definitly don't want to be doing this "alone" if Erik gets sick or passes out!
I am doing good, but am suffering through the aches and pains of late pregnancy. I get back aches a lot now and it hurts if I stand for too long. I also have reached the "I can't breath, I can't sleep!" stage. It sucks, but is to be expected.
We are finishing up Quinns Room and need to put up the crib, decorate, and wash and organize clothes and cloth diapers. I am waiting for the rest of my shower gifts to get here so I know what I still need to buy and then we can get things finished up. Guess that is pretty much it on our end for now.

  1. You look great! I love all the new bedroom stuff too! I can't believe how detailed the Ultrasounds are- amazing!!! We never had one past 20 weeks for Eden and it was just a plan version, so it's really neat to see Quinn!!
